5 days

It is a matter of 5 days before I leave for Texas. I am very excited, however the more I talk to people about the trip, the more I worry. Not about my trip or my safety, but how ignorant most people are. How easily they fall into propaganda, and government ploys.

I hear things like "so you are headed to the worlds largest sandbox"..."They should just bomb that whole place, its a shithole anyway"..."they all should die" and "sorry you have to be around those sand nig***s." How sad it is that time hasn't changed. During WWII the U.S. Government portrayed the Japanese as mice like creatures who were inherently evil.

I know Iraq will be hot as hell, and very sunny. But let us not forget it is the birthplace of civilization. Mesopotamia, the land between two rivers. It is where the modern number system comes from, and the first written tablets are found. And not to mention that, guess what, Jesus is from the middle east. Not Iraq, but a stone throws away. Does that make Jesus a sand ni***r?

I feel ashamed and sorry how ignorant some people in this country are.

However... I am very excited to get on my way, and can't wait to see everyone that I can before I leave. Thank you everyone!
